1 Timothy 5:16-18

¹⁶ If any believing woman^[a] has relatives who are really widows, let her assist them; let the church not be burdened, so that it can assist those who are real widows.

¹⁷ Let the elders who rule well be considered worthy of double honour,^[b] especially those who labour in preaching and teaching; ¹⁸ for the scripture says, ‘You shall not muzzle an ox while it is treading out the grain’, and, ‘The labourer deserves to be paid.’
